Natural hydrating argan oil and provitamin B5 ensure that even fine, thinning or lackluster locks stand up for the style. Just like the rest of the Keune So Pure Hair Wellness collection, this dynamic duo is sulfate-free, paraben-free and vegan. Lemon and palmarosa essential oils provide a natural aromatherapy experience that clients adore.

How It Works:

While traditional conditioners can weigh the hair down and cancel out any volumizing effects from a shampoo/conditioner system, the new So Pure Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner work together to cleanse and nourish without compromising the impact. The shampoo bathes hair in a rich lather to cleanse as it thickens tresses, as the ultra-light So Pure Volumizing Conditioning Foam nourishes without adding weight. It does so with its ultra-light frothy foam. After use, hair is full and voluminous and feels feather-light.

“I love the shine and movement that new So Pure Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioning Foam give to the hair,” enthuses Keune Regional Educator Jessica Bartolucci. “They plump up strands beautifully, creating the perfect foundation for voluminous styles. Then, you can add whatever Keune styler you prefer, depending on the hair type and desired hold. The foam is really easy to use and the fragrance is amazing!”

Tips For Use:

We asked Jessica, who also owns Salon 187 in Orchard Park, NY, to share some of her favorite tips for adding volume. “Over-directing the hair, then allowing it to cool in place, is key to long-lasting volume,” says Jessica.

Tip 1: For fine hair, she applies Keune So Pure Air Foam to create buildable volume and hold. She dries the hair while over-directing with a ceramic round brush. Then, while the hair is still warm, she pops in three 2½- to 3-inch Velcro rollers on the center crown over-directed toward the face.

“To smooth the hair into place and avoid damage, I place the roller at the roots. Then, I brush it down the hair to the ends before rolling it up the section, as opposed to starting right at the ends,” says Jessica.

Tip 2: For coarser hair, she dries the hair over a paddle brush, moving the hair up and over to the opposite side to build in volume. After removing 70% of the moisture, she over-directs the hair with a 3-inch round ceramic brush.

“Once it’s dry, I move the hair for a final time with the round brush and lock in the volume with the cool shot from my blow-dryer,” says Jessica. For longer-lasting volume, she rolls the hair around the round brush and pins it, then locks it in place with a cool shot.

Tip 3: Make sure to recommend the tools and products your client needs to get the result at home.

Jessica’s favorite volumizing stylers include BLEND Salt Mousse and Volume Powder. It provides structure at the root in fine-to-medium hair or heavy hair. She also loves Keune Design Thickening Cream for a long-lasting stylized hold and the CARE Absolute Volume range for a weightless style.
