Keune’s Fall Incentive Trip to Europe is a Success

Keune strives to always show our partners how much their hard work and loyalty mean to us. One way that we do this is through an annual incentive trip for our distributor sales consultants (DSCs). This October, Keune hosted a group of 21 DSCs, as well as their plus ones, during a seven-day adventure in Europe—a great reward for all of their hard work. The DSCs in attendance were the winners of two incentive contests, the BLEND Incentive Program and the New Product Incentive Program—the latter of which factored in the combined sales of BLEND, Tinta Color Care and Bond Fusion.

The following are a few highlights from Keune’s fall incentive trip to Europe:

The first half of the trip was spent in dynamic Amsterdam and the second was in beautiful Barcelona. While Keune hosted several planned and optional activities, the trip attendees also were encouraged to enjoy plenty of free time to savor their vacations at leisure.

Amsterdam Exploration

After settling into their accommodations upon arrival, guests took advantage of an optional walking tour of the city with a private local guide to get to know their surroundings. That evening, they enjoyed a welcome cocktail reception and Keune-hosted dinner.

Ready to hit the ground running the next day, the group of DSCs and team from Keune North America‘s corporate headquarters, including Andy Biazis, Donna DiNapoli, Rachael Hoffman, Rachel Litsky, Mark Webber and Jessica Mills, set out for a day at the company’s global headquarters. There, Eelco Keune led a welcome presentation followed by a factory tour featuring an exclusive sneak peek of the 2018 Limited Color Collection and 1922 by J.M. Keune. George Keune, Sr. also made an appearance! Our guests gained valuable insight about Keune’s global perspective and a better understanding of the business as a whole, as well as the history of the company and plans for the future of Keune.

Fun fact: Company sales are up 26% globally!

On the last day, the DSCs received vouchers to visit the Heineken Experience, do a canal cruise tour and experience the A’DAM Lookout tower, an observational deck with panoramic views of Amsterdam. Brave DSCs chose to experience its Over The Edge swing, the highest swing in Europe. Following the thrills, everyone enjoyed the last dinner of the fall incentive trip in Amsterdam at the Sir Adam Hotel.

Basking in Barcelona 

It was tempting to stay inside at Barcelona’s luxurious W Hotel, but there was much to see and do in this vibrant city. One highlight of our time there: Keune hosted a private wine and cava tour and tasting at the Alta Alella winery in the Alella region. After the excursion, the group discovered a local happy hour spot where they were introduced to Spanish vermouth, which is very different from what Americans might put into a martini, and traditional Spanish snacks. The food-and-drink-centric day was topped off with a three-course lunch at a fine restaurant that creates its daily menu from local, seasonal produce.

That evening and over the next two days, DSCs chose from a variety of sightseeing activities. Some embarked on hop-on, hop-off tours while others visited the Picasso Museum and other local treasures.
