Keune Hits the Road this Month with Special Education Events!

By | September 28th, 2018

In October, Keune education is hitting the road with Special Education Events! We are spreading the Keune gospel, supporting our business partners in their markets and introducing as many Beauty Professionals as possible to the Keune brand.

On October 14-15, our team heads north to headline Modern Beauty Supplies’ popular Modern Rocks the Runway 2018 show in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. George Alderete, Gareth Palmer and James Helton will feature barbering and coloring techniques on male models to complement our hot new 1922 by J.M. Keune collection. All attendees will take home full-size tubes of 1922 by J.M. Keune Classic Gel. Following the show, Megan Harrah will provide two days of hands-on cutting and grooming education for Stylists and Barbers in Edmonton and Calgary.

Vice President of Education and Shows Jessica Mills, along with Canadian Business Development Manager Shauna Jones and Brand Sales Managers Melody Walker and Amy Nilsson, will support the team.

“Barbering is so hot, and 1922 has been very well-received in the Canadian market,” says Shauna. “This show will continue to build the Keune momentum.”

On the same weekend, Paramount Beauty will stage its one-day show, Enigma of Beauty, on Long Island, New York. Keune Academy Trainers Eli Mancha and Alicia Dixon will provide cutting and coloring, featuring balayage and Keune’s Limited Edition Colors, respectively. The Chicago-based duo will headline 45-minutes on the Main Stage, followed by a 2-hour class.

At the end of the month, Special Markets Director Jamezell Ottinger will lead the Keune delegation to the prestigious Intercoiffure North America’s Fall Atelier in New York City. Jamezell will present Male Market—Niche or Mainstream? Now is the Time to Focus on Men with a prestigious panel that includes:

  • Keune Academy Trainers Gareth Palmer and Roy Peters (a recipient of the prestigious Intercoiffure Icon Award)
  • Tim Timmons, Intercoiffure member and owner of Salon Gloss and 1922 Men’s Grooming Salon
  • Steve Reiss, Modern Salon’s Publishing Director
  • Intercoiffure Vice President Sheila Wilson

The panel will share salon-tested tips for succeeding in the men’s grooming business, as male models will surprise the audience. Jamezell will also reveal the winners of the Intercoiffure/Keune Photo Contest.
